SILUNE
Chapter 00 — The threshold
Private journal · fully offline

A quiet place
to become.

A private space for the things you don't post. No account, no server, no tracking — everything you write is encrypted on this device and stays right here.

SILUNE home screen: the title “quietly becoming” over a numbered index of Release, Unsent, Within and Journey.

Chapter 01 — The direction

Most apps want you to stay longer. SILUNE wants you to need it less.

01

Quiet by design

No streaks, no score, no badges, no confetti. Notifications are silent by default and never compete for your attention. Nothing here measures you.

02

Private by default

No account, no server, no ads, no analytics SDK. There is nothing to leak, because nothing leaves your device.

03

Leaving is a feature

Every journey has an end button. No rule is ever marked failed. You write your own rules, and you leave when you've had enough.

Chapter 02 — Five spaces

Five spaces, one thing each.

The Release screen: a passage written on ruled paper, with Keep, Seal and Release along the bottom.
01

Release

Write it out · then choose

Write a thought out. Then choose: keep it, seal it until a date you pick, or release it. Released is gone — no trash, no recovery, and it was never on a server.

The Unsent screen: a letter being written, with a New letter button at the bottom and no Send button.
02

Unsent

Letters · no Send button

Letters to people you will not send them to. There is no Send button, and this screen is not connected to anything.

The Within screen: the question “What are you protecting?” with an answer field and a Skip button.
03

Within

One question a week

One question a week, and permission to skip it. What became quieter this week? What are you no longer willing to chase? Not answering is fine — the Skip button is right there.

The Journey screen: the reason “I need distance”, a list of self-written rules and the moments already marked.
04

Journey

Your rules · not a task list

Enter for a reason — quiet, distance, focus, letting go. Write your own rules; nothing here is ever marked failed. Mark the moments that mattered, and end it when you're ready.

The Do Nothing screen: nearly empty, with a faint word “breathe” in the middle and the ambient list below.
05

Do nothing

A blank screen, on purpose

A screen that does nothing at all. Breathe, or don't. Tap anywhere to leave. It is the one screen that saves nothing.

Chapter 03 — Ambient

Hear all eight beds.

These are the same eight recordings that run inside the app, not a different demo set. They play from the device itself — the app never downloads them. Tap one to listen; tap it again to stop.

Nothing plays on its own. Sound happens because you asked for it — here, and in the app.

Field recordings are CC0 and public domain, except «Campfire sound ambience» by Glaneur de sons (Wikimedia Commons, CC BY 3.0). Wind, room tone and brown noise are generated by us. Full sources are credited in the app under Settings → Ambient.

Chapter 04 — Support

What SILUNE does for you, quietly.

People who open SILUNE usually need distance — after a breakup, a burnout, a loss. They open it early in the morning or late at night, for two to ten minutes, to be less stimulated rather than more. Everything below exists for that reason.

Ambient

Eight sound beds

Rain, drizzle, ocean, wind, forest, fireplace, room tone, brown noise — played on the device, never downloaded.

Day & night

The same paper

Night is not a cold black screen; it is the same old paper read under a warm lamp. Follow the system, or choose it yourself.

Lock

Face ID & fingerprint

With auto-lock. The app-switcher preview is blanked, and on Android the screen blocks screenshots.

Backup

The copy is yours

Export an encrypted copy and keep it wherever you want. SILUNE never uploads it anywhere.

Erase

Erase everything, any time

One action in Settings wipes all of it. No one's permission needed, because no one else holds a copy.

Language

Tiếng Việt & English

The whole app, not just the menus.

SILUNE is a place to write, not therapy. It does not diagnose, does not give medical advice, and does not replace a professional. If you are in crisis or thinking about harming yourself, reach out to someone you trust, or to an emergency support service where you live.

Chapter 05 — Privacy

Nothing collected. Literally nothing.

Data

It never leaves the device

No account, no server, no cloud sync. The App Store privacy label reads Data Not Collected across every category; Google Play reads No data collected · No data shared.

Encryption

Encrypted as you write

Everything you write is encrypted on this device itself. Even if someone got hold of the data file, they still could not read it.

Network

It never calls out

The app carries no analytics library, no ads, nothing that reaches the network. Turn on airplane mode and it runs exactly the same.

Release

Deleted means deleted

When you release a passage it is gone — no trash, no recovery, no copy anywhere else. That is why the screen asks once before doing it.
