Privacy policy
Updated 26 August 2026 · applies to SILUNE 1.0.0 on iOS and AndroidThe short version: SILUNE collects nothing. No account, no server, no analytics, no ads. What you write is encrypted on your own device and never leaves it. The rest of this page just says that in detail.
What we collect
Nothing. SILUNE has no accounts, no servers, and sends no data anywhere. We do not know who you are, we do not know whether you installed the app, we do not know how many times you opened it. There is nothing for us to know, because nothing is ever sent.
What you write
Journal entries, unsent letters, weekly answers, journeys and everything else you type are encrypted and stored in the app's own private data area on the device. They are not uploaded, not backed up to any server of ours, and nobody — us included — can read them.
If you have your operating system's backup turned on (iCloud Backup or Android Backup), a copy of the app data may be included in that backup. That backup is handled by Apple or Google under their policies, not ours. Turn off backup for SILUNE in your system settings if you would rather it were not.
The export you keep
You can export an encrypted copy. That file goes wherever you send it — the Files app, a drive, any cloud service you choose. From the moment it leaves SILUNE, that file is under your control and your responsibility, and that of whatever service you send it to.
Third parties
There are none. SILUNE embeds no analytics SDK, no ad network, no remote crash reporter, and no library that reaches the network. The app runs fully in airplane mode.
Children
SILUNE is rated 4+ / Everyone and collects no data from anyone, at any age.
Your rights
Because we hold none of your data, there is nothing to request access to, correct, or delete from us. All of it stays in your hands: Settings → Erase SILUNE wipes everything on the device immediately and irreversibly.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it, and the change is noted in the release's What's New. We will not quietly start collecting data — if that ever happened, it would no longer be SILUNE.
